HTC have now announced via their Facebook page that they will be releasing Gingerbread to proud HTC Desire owners. Lets see what they say tomorrow!

UPDATE: HTC has clarified its position by saying, “to resolve the Desire’s memory issue and enable the upgrade to Gingerbread, we will cut select apps from the release”. We are yet to find out which Apps will go.
