If you read across the web yesterday as an PSN customer, there was some good news of free games and free access (depending on your own account) as an apology for the desperate PSN security breaches and subsequent down time of the service.
I guess Sony really have no choic but we just wonder if any of the security breach itself has caused PSN users problems with their personal details being hacked. Anyone suffered identity fraud as a result and so on? If so, what do Sony have to do for these poor customers and can it indeed be proved that the PSN security breach was the cause. Lets hope Sony play a good hand on these instances too.
I guess another question is that if you accept the apology package, will that also stop you pursuing Sony if you subsequently have security problems as a result of your information being stolen? Ie. you are opting to let Sony off by accepting the package? Be good to hear from Sony in this regard and your own thoughts. Hopefully Sony or someone can report back on this. And in the end, lets hope PSN customers have had no problems.
Lets me know your thoughts on the packages on offer as an apology and if you have had security problems as a result and your reaction to all of this.
